Frequently Asked Questions
My low voltage lights won't come on. What do I do?
Make sure control unit is plugged into a power outlet that is working. DO NOT overload the control unit by exceeding the wattage of the control unit. The total wattage of the lights (sum of the wattage of each bulb in the system) should be equal or less than the wattage of the control unit. Check the display box or back of control unit for wattage of transformer. Check for light sources interfering with the control unit sensor (this can include an artificial light source such as headlights, exterior lighting or even if you have placed the fixtures too close to or aimed at the sensor). To ensure that the control unit is working, block out any light covering the sensor on the control unit with your hand. Check that bulb(s) is properly installed and not damaged or burned-out. Trace low voltage wire to ensure the cable has not been cut between the control unit and the first light. Look for bent terminals in lens base and straighten.
